Awards

For Sunday in the Park with George – New York

* David was nominated for a Tony Award for Costume Design, and he and Timothy Bird were nominated for Set Design

* David and Timothy Bird won the Outer Critics Circle Award for ‘Outstanding Set Design (Play or Musical)’ and David was nominated for  ‘Outstanding Costume Design (Play or Musical)’ along with an ‘Outstanding Revival of a Musical’ nomination’

For Sunday in the Park with George – West End

* David and Timothy Bird won the Olivier Award for Best Design at the Wyndhams (and Olivier Best Musical production)

* David and Timothy Bird won the Evening Standard Best Design Award and the Critics Circle Award for Best Design at the Menier Chocolate Factory

EDUCATION

David has a BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre Design from Wimbledon School of Art and left in 1999 with a 1st class in Technical Arts Design.  He also has a BTEC Foundation Studies in Art and Design from the Oxfordshire School of Art and Design.
