SWEENEY TODD - This multi-award winning production was recently on USA tour, following runs on Broadway and in the West End

A CATERED AFFAIR at the Walter Kerr Theatre, Broadway, and which won the Drama League Award for ‘Distinguished Production of a Musical’, and was nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award for ‘Outstanding New Musical’ and the Dramadesk award for ‘Outstanding Director’ and for ‘Outstanding Musical’. He also won the San Diego Critics Award for ‘Best Director of a Musical’ for its run at the Old Globe, San Diego.

As ARTISTIC DIRECTOR at regional theatres

John has been Artistic Director of Theatre Royal York, the Swan Theatre Worcester, the Liverpool Everyman and the Cheltenham Everyman. His work ranged from the world premiere of JUDY by Terry Wale and the regional premiere of THE MADNESS OF GEORGE III to numerous classical productions including THE WHITE DEVIL, DR. FAUSTUS, OTHELLO, HEDDA GABLER, UNCLE VANYA, THE TROJAN WOMEN and MACBETH.
