Lucy is designing the Chicago Shakespeare Company’s 2009 production of TWELFTH NIGHT, and is currently working on MACBETH for the Edinburgh Lyceum and Nottingham Playhouse and the for the Bush Theatre.
She designed the Bush Theatre’s ARTEFACTS and Lucy Brier’s one woman show, SOME KIND OF BLISS (previously at Trafalgar Studios), both of which played at the 2008 ‘Brits off Broadway Festival’ at Theater 59E59 in New York. Other recent work includes BROKEN SPACE FESTIVAL, 2,000 FEET AWAY, TINDERBOX and The dYsFUnCKshOnalZ (Bush Theatre); BE MY BABY (New Vic Theatre); ROPE (Watermill Theatre), CLOSER (Theatre Royal Northampton); TOUCHWOOD (Stephen Joseph Theatre) and BREAKER MORANT (Edinburgh Festival).
You may also have seen SHIP OF FOOLS (set, Theatre 503); THE LONG, THE SHORT AND THE TALL (Sheffield Lyceum & tour) and THE UNTHINKABLE (Sheffield Crucible Studio); THE PRAYER ROOM (Birmingham Rep & Edinburgh Festival); DR FAUSTUS (The Place); RICHARD III (Cambridge Arts); THE TEMPEST (set, national tour); SEASON OF MIGRATION TO THE NORTH (as part of the RSC’s New Writing Season) and ‘GENERATION’ (Gate Theatre, Notting Hill - a collection of 4 shows including The Shawl and The Maids).
She has also designed a number of shows at LAMDA including FLIGHT WITHOUT END, OTHELLO and LYSISTRATA and she graduated from Motley Theatre Design School in 2003 having also gained a BA in Fine Art at the University of Newcastle.
