The Theatre Royal Haymarket’s productions of FLARE PATH, THE LION IN WINTER and WAITING FOR GODOT; AN IDEAL HUSBAND, GHOSTS (West End); LA BOHÉME (WNO); THE MASTER BUILDER, SEPARATE TABLES (Chichester Festival Theatre); Stephen Fry’s CINDERELLA (Old Vic Theatre). He is also the set designer for DIRTY DANCING (Aldwych Theatre, Toronto, Utrecht, US Tour, Hamburg and Berlin). He works regularly for the Royal Shakespeare Company including on MERRY WIVES THE MUSICAL with Dame Judi Dench, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA (set), JULIUS CAESAR (set), A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, BELIEVE WHAT YOU WILL, OTHELLO, ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS WELL (set) and THE TAMING OF THE SHREW & THE TAMER TAMED, many of them transferring to the West End, Japan or Washington. Other designs include ARSENIC AND OLD LACE and BECKET (West End); A CHORUS LINE (The Crucible, Sheffield) and ACORN ANTIQUES (Costumes, UK tour/West End). He won an Olivier Award for his set (with a nomination for Costume Design) on LES PARENTS TERRIBLES at the National Theatre and was nominated for a Tony Award and Drama Desk award for its run on Broadway. He also won an Olivier award for DESIGN FOR LIVING at the Gielgud and Donmar Warehouse
